Who We Are

Chris Gideon, Jr. is a Third-Generation Land Professional with over 18-Years of experience in all land-based aspects of oil, gas, and mineral exploration and production operations. He began his land career in 2004 as an Independent Field Landman running title and buying leases along the Gulf Coast of Texas. He quickly became a crew-chief and later an employed Project Coordinator with T.S. Dudley Land Company (TSD) in their Nacogdoches, Texas (Haynesville Shale) office. This experience led him to manage all manner of large-scale land acquisition projects for multiple clients across East Texas and beyond.

In 2014, Chris made a move to Tulsa, Oklahoma to serve as Land Manager for Associated Resources, Inc. (ARI), a TSD subsidiary company that specializes in outsourced Lease Records, Division Order, and back-office Accounting and Administration for small to mid-size Exploration and Production companies across all United States producing basins. The professional education gained within the offices of ARI led to a greater understanding of revenue dispersal, WI and NRI capture, along with lease operating costs and all inherent functions attributable to royalty payments and deductions.

Chris moved back into a more traditional land and project management role with Dudley Land Company (DLC – formerly TSD) in 2018 as a Prospect Manager within the DLC Houston office where he furthered his land and project management career. This role also enabled him to increase his land-based knowledge and diversity with management of large-scale right-of-way projects along with renewable energy projects, in addition to general land acquisition and title due-diligence projects across the State of Texas and surrounding states.

In 2021, Chris founded Gideon Land & Title with a singular focus to bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to a new manner of clients, outside of traditional exploration and production companies, in an effort to help mineral owners and commercial real estate companies steer through the complexities of surface and mineral ownership in order to maximize value and revenues from those rights. Whether a large mineral estate review or a small royalty interest confirmation, Chris is committed to providing the highest standard in professional consulting, fair dealings, and honest service to his clients.
